you've done everything you can ~inside and out~ to make your home as
attractive as possible in the eyes of the buyer. First impressions
last. Homes that look their best tend to sell faster and command
every dollar they are worth. |
EXTERIOR
* A fresh coat of paint for home, garage, even fences
* Lawn trimmed and clean of debris
* Gutters sealed and downspouts clean
* A tidy front entrance ~ Door brass polished, worn trim painted
* Storm windows and screens clean
* New doormat
INTERIOR
* A fresh coat of paint on interior walls
* Repair the "little things" ~ oil squeaking doors, tighten
loose cabinet knobs, take out removable stains on
carpet, replace damaged floor tiles
* All windows, doors, & drawers should open and close easily
* Kitchens are looked at closely ~ tighten leaky faucets, replace faulty
light fixtures, clean any appliances that "stay with home"
* Bathrooms are also looked at closely ~ Keep it clean. Clean
grout, polish faucets, clear countertops, keep laundry items in closed
hamper.
* Clean windows, straighten closets and basement
* Clean out garage
